Santa Cruz 25.01.06 - 27.01.06
back to home
We went to Santa Cruz via Temuco. We did not stay in Temuco as we did not like the town.

Santa Cruz is a pretty village in the wine growing region of Colchagua. Its a new wineregion to Chile. We stayed a couple of relaxing days tasting wine and baking in the sun. A lot of people from Santiago come here to relax for the weekend as it is only about 2 hrs away.
Monte Gras
Is a new winery. The grapes were planted in 1992 and the first wine made 1995. The houses are all built in Colonial style to keep everything pretty for the tourists.
La Posada
Its the local winery in Santa Cruz itself, La Posada is the oldest winery in the region built 1905. It is still family run today.
