We landed in La Paz after a good flight on Aerosur (LAB was once again on strike). The ride from the airport into town is breathtaking. You can see the whole valley with the houses as well as the mountainrange in the backround. We spent most of the time in La Paz roaming the market of the inner city. We have never seen this many people in such a confined space and traffic is havoc. I wouldn´t want to have to drive there. Before arriving we heard many stories how unsafe the town is. We actualy felt very safe and encountered no problems what so ever. We changed out travelplans to go to the Bolivian Jungle. We should have flown out the 14.. Unfortunalty our flight was cancelled as the grasslanding strip in Rurrenabaque was flooded. That gave us an additional afternoon in La Paz. The next morning our flight left on time.
