Corrientes

After a terrible bus journey we arrive just before midnight instead of 21.00 hrs in Corrientes. We just had enough time to get a room at the hotel closest to the terminal and get a beer to toast the new year. We got tickets to the night bus to Cordoba, so we had the next day to check out Corrientes. Its quite a nice town but very run down by the lack of funds in Argentina. It was swelltering hot and everything but a small supermarket and the ice-cream shop were open.

Cordoba

We took the nightbus to Cordoba, which got stuck at the Rafaela busterminal whith engine trouble. It took about 4 hrs. to get a replacement. We arrived in Cordoba about lunchtime and bought a tick for Mendoza straight away. So we had a couple of hours to check the town center. Its Argentinas second largest city and a nice and busy town. You could probably spend a couple of days here but we wanted to get to Mendoza.
